Speedometer Pulse Generator You will need a pulse generator to drive the Speedometer on these gauge sets, but before purchasing one, check the drive unit on the one in the transmission. Even if you have a cable driven speedometer, some of the manufacturers use a dual purpose adapter. If your speedometer drive unit has wires coming out of it, odds are it will be useable on the new speedometer.
